Thankful You Are Part of My World
Today's card features the Sunburst Fancy Die, which is a unique die that creates cuts lines in a sunburst pattern to add texture and interest to your cards.
I started out by cutting a 3.5" square piece of Bristol Smooth paper to do my stamping and ink blending on. First, I stamped the earth image from the You Are Loved Messages set with black ink. Then I stamped it again on masking paper, cut it out and placed it over my first image. I lined up the Sunburst die around the earth and ran it thought my die-cutting machine creating the pattern that looks like rays of light beaming out from the earth. These two products seem like they were made for each other!
Next, I created the ink blended backgound using a blending brush and three Reactive Inks. I started with Creamsicle at the bottom, moved up to Taffy and finished off with Splash at the top. My favorite part is that strip of purple that was created when the pink and blue overlapped. Reminds me of a beautiful sunrise!
Then I removed my mask from the earth and colored it using a water brush and Key Lime Fizz and Blue Hawaii Reactive Inks.
Finally I stamped the sentiment, which is also from the You Are Loved Messages set, using black ink. I mounted this panel to a piece of Pitch Black cardstock, leaving just a small mat to help set it off from the white card base.
Hope you have a happy Friday!
