Stenciling with Glitter + Embossing Paste
After spending three days at Creativation, I came home with such a grateful heart for all the wonderful people I met. This industry is full of truly kind and generous people and I'm so happy to be a part of this community of crafters. This card goes out to all of you!
I started out by die cutting a heart using the Nesting Hearts Infinity Dies from some bright pink cardstock. Then I mixed some translucent embossing paste with glitter and smeared it over the Ornate Floral Stencil. I let this piece dry for about 30 minutes, while I worked on the rest of the card.
For the background I created a watercolor wash using Pewter Glimmer Metallic Inks. These inks amaze me every time I use them -- they mix with water just like our watercolor inks and the shine is incredible!
Next, I white heat embossed the sentiment from the You Are Loved Messages set onto a strip of Classic Vellum Layering Paper.
Once my stenciled heart was dry, I assembled all the pieces of the card onto a white card base. And a scattering of a few tiny white hearts finished off the card!
Thanks for joining me today, hope you have an amazing day!
Stunning!!!
Beautiful card and I love the pewter glimmer in the background wash. How was the sentiment on vellum attached to the card so beautifully with no adhesive marks showing?
Oh so pretty! Really, really pretty!
Beautiful heart card, I love the glittery embossing paste through the stencil!
Fabulous heart card, Kelly! Just love the wash behind and the great texture on the heart!!
