Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero: May Challenge
Michelle Lupton
Hello! The May challenge at Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero begins today, and the theme is "Get Scrappy" – in other words, use up your scrap paper! You might decide to do some paper piecing, or a collage, or use scraps to die cut, or use leftovers from a previous card – the possibilities are endless.
Here's some inspiration from our design team to get you in the mood!

We also have a special guest artist this month - Stephanie Fiddy!
"Hello! My name is Stephanie Fiddy and I am thrilled to be a guest designer for ABNH May's Get Scrappy challenge. The first day of summer is less than two months away and our summers are spent on the beach! With that, I was excited to use some of my scraps from Hero Hues Premium Cardstock to make this coastal-themed card."
You can find Stephanie on Instagram. Thank you, Stephanie – we're so glad to have you as our guest this month!
Now it's your turn – how will you interpret the challenge theme? Use the InLinkz tool right at the bottom of this post to link up your newly created card, and you will be entered into our draw. We will be giving a $50 gift card randomly to one person who plays along, and another $50 gift card to one of our favourites!
To link up your new project that fits the challenge theme, you need to share it publicly somewhere you can grab the link – this can be your blog, Instagram, a Flickr account – anywhere that allows you to have a URL or website location to link up, and where we can see your post.
We would love for you to use your favorite Hero Arts products, but all projects that fit the theme can be entered and will be included in the draw – finding joy in crafting is what's important! Entries must be submitted by June 5th at 5:00pm PT to be eligible for the giveaway. Scroll down to find the linkup! If you share your project on social media, we'd like you to use the #heroarts and #staycraftychallenge hashtags, please!
We love leaving comments on your entries, but sometimes that is not possible. Please be assured that we have visited each of your posts, whether it be a blog, Instagram, Flickr or somewhere else, but some platforms may limit comments or only allow comments from members.
Enter our contest by linking your new project below! Please enter your name in the caption area. By linking your project, you are giving us permission to feature your card on our blog, social media or newsletter, crediting you as the artist.
In April, our challenge theme was "Blend it Up", and yet again, your entries were totally fabulous!
Our random winner of a $50 Hero Arts voucher is Tera Fendley, with this lovely soft creation for Mother's Day!
Our Design Team favourite winner of a $50 Hero Arts voucher is thelindarc, using a gorgeous blend of colours, and the Thinking of You Stamp & Cut set.
Please email us at info@heroarts.com with "Stay Crafty Challenge Winner" in the subject to claim your prize.

Such great inspiration for this months challenge!
Oh my goodness, this is the perfect challenge for me. I got into cardmaking to use up my scraps from scrapbooking. Of course now I have even more scraps from cardmaking!
Congrats to the winners!
Rcvd email notice and my May subscription Kit + add-ons are to arrive Mon. Will be a Mother’s Day gift to myself.
