Spread Holiday Cheer with a Light Up Disco Ball Card

Natasha Polite

Hi friends! Natasha Polite of Polite Creations joining you today with a fun light-up holiday card that is sure to brighten someone's day!

This card features the October Card Kit of the Month, which is filled with disco balls and will definitely have your cards full of sparkle.

To begin, I adhered a sheet of the Holographic Rainbow Film to acetate. I then die cut the large disco ball without a shim to ensure that the squares remain intact.

Next I heat embossed the smaller disco ball image with White Detail Embossing Powder and die cut it with the coordinating die. The sentiment is heat embossed onto vellum with Gold Embossing Powder and die cut with the coordinating die.

Next, die cut the large bow from Fern Cardstock and assemble with liquid glue.

I stamped and white heat embossed the Starlight Cling Stamp onto an A2 panel of Blush Cardstock. Such a sweet and simple background that can be used year round!

Then I created the light-up portion of my card using a Pear Blossom Press One Light. I used the same circle die used for the smaller disco ball to cut a hole into the center of the Blush panel. I then matted this on top of an A2 panel of White Cardstock that is lined with thick foam tape. I ensure that there is enough room for my One Light to fit. Once I knew where I wanted my light to shine and where the button should be pressed, I added the battery inside of the light and adhered it onto the white panel through the die cut hole.

I popped up the larger holographic disco ball over the area that the light shines using foam squares. And then adhered the bow to to the top of the disco ball.

I added the smaller disco ball offset at the bottom with the sentiment around it. For the final touch, I die cut some white sparkles to embellish the card. I placed one directly over where the button for the light was placed.

Thanks for joining me today. I hope you enjoyed this card full of holiday sparkle!

Happy crafting,
