Spooky Treat Bag Topper

Good morning! Jess here with a fun and different way to use the new Spider Web Window Fancy Die: as a topper for a Halloween treat bag!

I started by die-cutting the Spider Web Window Fancy Die from black glitter cardstock. Then I clipped off the frame and die-cut it separately from Pitch Black Hero Hues cardstock. I scored both pieces down the center and then used Precision Glue to adhere them together.

Next I die-cut the little spider from the Curiosities Silhouette Fancy Dies set three times with Cherry Hero Hues Cardstock and once from Pitch Black Hero Hues Cardstock. I layered them together at a slight offset and adhered them together with Precision Glue so the red peeks through just a little. I fussy-cut a little hourglass from Cherry Hero Hues Cardstock and adhered it to the spider's back.  Then I used a foam dot to pop it up on the spider web. Then I simply applied a little adhesive to the back of the spider web and adhered it to a treat bag filled with my favorite Halloween snack: candy corn and dry-roasted peanuts!  Depending on the angle you're looking at the bag the little spider almost disappears but you definitely notice him when your hand brushes over him...just a spooky little surprise! ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
