Sparkle & Shine with Gold Glitter Embossing

Hello to you! Janette here sharing a card with you today that is fits perfectly within this month's A Blog Named Hero challenge theme, Sparkle & Shine. If ever a great month to get involved, this would be it. Sparkle and shine is almost synonymous with cardmaking! The challenge is open through September 10th, and you could win a gift certificate to the Hero Arts shop!

I began by stamping Blossoms for Coloring Bold Prints on Snow Layering paper and embossing with Gold Glitter powder. I then trimmed the panel to A2 (4 1/4" x 5 1/2").

I repeated the same with Slither Bold Prints on black from the Midnight Layering Mix paper pack. I strategically trimmed this piece down to 4 1/4" x 1 1/2" to just incorporate the curve of the snake bodies. Adhere flush to bottom of white gold glittered panel.

Stamp and gold glitter emboss flowers from coordinating Blossoms for Coloring stamp set on smooth bristol paper. Stamp leaves in Lime to Forever Green Ombre ink. Loosely watercolor flowers and once dry, die cut all images. Layer, stack and combine over seam between black and white background paper, popping a few with dimensional adhesive.

Lastly, tuck Gold Glitter embossed You're Beautiful sentiment in place and adhere finished panel to Snow Folded Card

Thank you for joining me today and good luck to the challenge entrants! I'll be back tomorrow to begin the My Monthly Hero Countdown to Creativity!

OmG what an adorable card, I really love it.♥

I love this card. I am not typically drawing to “glittery” cards, but his one is so elegant. Your use of contrast is stunning, and working with soft colors and glittery textures adds a feeling of gentle grace and strength. Thank you for showing me how to blend in products I have, but don’t use, with some sterling design ideas.
