Snow Much Fun Polar Greetings

Nichol Spohr

Hello! Today's winter greeting design can be used for many different winter occasions. From holiday thank you's to birthday or just a hello, this sweet scene card is sure to make the recipient smile! The Snowflake Confetti Fancy Die can be used in many ways. One of my favorite ways is to use it as a background builder for scenes. The snowflakes add immediate interest to the "white space" at the top of the card.

To start, I die cut the Snowflake Confetti Fancy Die from smooth white cardstock and inked the panel with Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks. The die was cut again from white glitter cardstock.

The background panel was adhered to a white top fold card base and the white glitter snowflakes were inlaid into the background design. The circle openings were filled with Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard.

A smooth white cardstock strip was stamped with a sentiment from the Polar Greetings Stamp Set using two ink colors to create an ombre effect. An additional sentiment from the Gingerbread House Stamp & Cut Set was stamped below with Intense Black Ink. The strip was adhered to the bottom of the panel as shown.

The "snow much fun" sentiment from the Ice Fishing Stamp Set was stamped on blue cardstock with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder before being trimmed into a thin strip and adhered to the top of the card with foam adhesive.

Images from the Ice Fishing Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Intense Black Ink, colored in with the following Copic Marker color combinations, die cut with the coordinating Ice Fishing Dies, and adhered to the scene with a combination of tape runner and foam adhesive.

Trees: YG91, YG95, YG97, YG99, E55, E57
Bear: W00, W1, W4, R00
Fish: YR30, YR31, YR24
Bucket: R35, R37, R39, W7
Ice: BG10, BG11, BG13

The images were finished with white pen detail.

I hope this has given you an idea of how to incorporate background Confetti Fancy Dies in your card making! Thanks for joining me today!

I love how you used the bear to do the fishing. Great idea.

A beautiful and detailed card (as always from Nichol). Love the thought that she puts into her cards and when she shares them with others. I love this adorable polar bear from HA too. The best animal stamps in the business.

So lovely Nichol, the background die is awesome and give a lot of dimension to the background. Love that little polar beer.
Thank you so much for sharing.
