Good day to you and welcome to the Hero Arts blog! Janette here, and I cannot get enough of summer (seems I've mentioned that a time or two!). The long hot days of California sunshine are good for so many things and camping is certainly one of them. We love to head to the mountains to catch a cool breeze and breathe in the scent of evergreens. The project I am sharing today combines several of my summer favorites: sunsets, camping, pines and simplicity!
Create this card by masking off the bottom half of a scant A2 Dove White cardstock panel and ink blending with Dandelion, Fresh Peach and Crimson ink. Remove masking and create long flick strokes from either side with Copic markers in E18, E39 and E13.
Die cut Camper from Dove White and a few Fir Trees from the new Hero Hues cardstock in Meadow. Blend tree edges with Pine. Pop out horizontal trailer trim piece and Copic color in R37 and R35. Open the camper door into the trailer and mask, along with the entire length of the trailer. Ink blend lower half with Indigo. Blend hitch and tire rim with Silver.
Stamp sentiment and bear image from Camp in the Wild in Intense Black ink on Dove White cardstock. Die cut and Copic color bear simply with E18, E39 and E13. Adhere all elements flat to the base with Precision Glue. Pop bear and sentiment with dimensional adhesive. Add the entire finished panel to a folded card base for a last little touch of detail to the overall simple project.
Thank you for spending your time with me today. If you are creating with Hero Arts on these awesome (but occasionally shaky) summer days, we'd love to see it! Tag us on social media!
Until next time!
This is truly adorable! And so VIBRANT!
Awesome HA products and cool camping card!
Gorgeous scene Janette, thank you so much for your gorgeous inspiration.
Such a cute scene. Love the details in the instructions – you have inspired me. May have to invest in the dies.
Great card! I love all of the details you added which makes the scene just pop!!
