Hello! We are back with another Countdown to Creativity post before launching our September My Monthly Hero Kit and add-ons on Tuesday, September 5th, at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. Release day is Tuesday, one day later than usual due to the Labor Day holiday. We’ll be here throughout the long weekend, sharing ideas for using both the main kit, as well as new optional add-on products that will be available on Tuesday. And don’t forget to comment on each and every Countdown post - we’ll be giving away a kit on Tuesday morning, before the kit launches! Now join Amy as she shares a card made using this month's kit.
Have you been enjoying all the Countdown To Creativity posts as much as I am? September's kit is amazing and is a great way to welcome Fall.
I managed to use a couple different ink layering color combinations for this card. Let's start with the background blooms. They seem slighted muted in color, don't they? I decided to put a vellum panel on top of it so that the single sunflower image could be the star of the show. The background sunflower blooms stamped with:
Lemon Yellow - Butter Bar - Tangerine
center
My card is 3.5 x 5.5 inches. I cut a panel from the Pool Mix Layering Papers pack in the same size and then used one of the Rectangle Infinity Dies to create a frame. The sentiment has been stamped with Cup O' Joe and Butter Bar.
The focal point is the single sunflower that has been stamped with:
Lemon Yellow - Pale Tomato - Red Royal
The center inks are the same as the background sunflowers. The stalk is:
Without the vellum panel, the solo sunflower was getting lost in the background.
Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all of the comments left across all countdown posts and announce the winner first thing Tuesday morning, September 5th, before the kit launches at 1pm Eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to check back tomorrow for an additional countdown post!
Love the vellum panel, adds interest to the background for your lovely sunflower in front.
Love the effect using the vellum gave to the sunflowers and the fact it allowed your solo sunflower to stand out so nicely.
Lovely card and great idea for using the vellum.
Love this sunflower stamp. Your card design is very clever. Thanks for sharing.
