September My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #7 + Giveaway!

Hello, we are back with another Countdown to Creativity post before launching our September My Monthly Hero Kit and add-ons on Tuesday, September 5th at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. We'll be giving away one kit tomorrow morning, before the kit launches, so be sure to comment on every Countdown post! Now, join Yana as she shares a simple stamped background card created with an optional, add-on stamp.

I adore creating my own backgrounds using small individual stamps so to create a background for this card I used little leaf and branch images from the CM203 Color Layering Thanksgiving set, which is an add-on set for this month's kit.

Thanks For Being You Card by Yana Smakula for Hero ArtsI mounted all 3 images onto a clear block at once and used Cup O' Joe ink color for my stamping. I stamped images repeatedly rotating the block every time I made an impression to make this pattern appear random. Next, I added Pumpkin Pie stamped berries (I used tiny circle images from my older Hero sets).

Thanks For Being You Card by Yana Smakula for Hero ArtsNext, I stamped "Thanks" using the same Pumpkin Pie and Cup O' Joe colors, foam mounted the stamped panel onto the card and added white heat embossed "For Being You" on top.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We'll randomly draw one lucky winner from all of the comments left across all countdown posts and announce the winner first thing tomorrow morning, September 5th, before the kit launches at 1pm Eastern. Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to come back tomorrow for the kit reveal!

I love creating my own backgrounds now and first got the idea from you! Adding the sentiment on top of the Thanks is great-I can’t wait for this kit!

Yana is so good at making gorgeous backgrounds for the tiny images in a stamp, this card is no exception. ?

Looks like another homerun for Hero Arts! I love your addition of the berries, think the subtle pop of color brings everything together.

The soft colors are so universal… could be used for so many different thank you notes.
