It's time for our next countdown peek! The September My Monthly Hero kit will be available on Tuesday, September 3 at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. Now let’s join Emily, who is sharing another look at this month's kit!

Hi there! Emily Midgett here with you today sharing another bit of inspiration using this month's My Monthly Hero kit. In addition to nature images, this kit contains some creepy-crawly images that are perfect for Halloween. I used the individual stamps to create a fun monotone background using some of the shimmery paper included in the kit and gold embossing powder. Let's get started with the details!

I absolutely love the papers that are included in this month's kit. There are a few different shades and textures, but I really fell in love with this beautiful shimmery chocolate brown cardstock. It's great for embossing, even picking up those tiny little details in the moth and shell stamps in this month's kit stamp set! I stamped a random pattern using the small images from the 6x8 stamp set in this month's kit using the Clear Embossing and Watermark Ink and some Gold embossing powder.

Next, I added a gold die cut frame using some shimmery gold cardstock from a previous My Monthly hero kit that I created from Rounded Rectangle Infinity Dies. I popped it up on the patterned card front using foam tape, then added a die cut sentiment (from this month's kit!) cut from Dove White cardstock. The final touch was to add a few Clear Hero Hues Enamel Dots for a bit of shine and texture.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Tuesday morning, September 3, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!
