Selective Stamping for a Clean and Simple Card
Jessica Frost-Ballas
Good morning! Jess here with a fun technique to create a clean and simple card! My card might be a bit more than a standard CAS card but you could easily replicate this design and keep it as intricate or simple as you'd like.

I wanted to use the Bookcase Peek-A-Boo Parts stamp but I was in a bit of a rush and knew I didn't have time to color the full A2 sized stamp...so I decided to just stamp about a third of it onto a panel of Hero Hues Dove White cardstock with Intense-ified Black Ink. Then, just because, I stamped some of my favorite cat silhouettes from Luna the Halloween Cat with the same ink. I also stamped a sentiment from Hand-Drawn Everyday Messages and blasted it quickly with my heat gun to make sure all the ink was dry.

Next I colored the bookshelf in rainbow order using Copic markers. I always admire those Pinterest-y photos where all the books are organized by color but I think it would drive me nuts in person to not be able to quickly find a book by the title or author! But on a card, anything goes! ;) I kept my shading simple and just used one or two markers for each book. And again you could make this REALLY clean and simple and leave off coloring the bookshelves or just selectively color a few books or the plant!
And that's it! I love the full Bookcase Peek-A-Boo Parts stamp but it's also fun to use it in an unconventional way like this...almost makes it seem like you have two totally different sets! :) Thanks so much for stopping by today and have an amazing day!
