Saturdays with Sally: Rainbows of Color Splashes
I LOVE playing with watercolors! I am packing up my suitcase once again and making sure my small watercolor kit and brushes are going in!! And lots of watercolor paper.
For today’s cards I used Liquid Watercolors. For the first card, take a flat brush and make rainbow stripes with colors of your choice on watercolor paper. Let thoroughly dry. Stamp CREATE from Art Journal Messages in Intens-ified Black Ink directly on the dry stripes. On a scrap of Mustard cardstock stamp JOY. Trim and mount with foam tape. Mount the panel onto Pitch Black cardstock.
For the next card, simply slosh some Liquid Watercolors onto a teflon mat or waxed paper. Blot it with watercolor paper. VOILA, memories of blotto paintings from your childhood. (You could also achieve a similar look using the March 2022 My Monthly Hero kit and some ink pads!) Add color with a brush where you might still have white space. Die cut "happy" from Happy Thanks Stamp & Cut XL with Paradise cardstock several times, and stack and glue them together for dimension. Tie with some fancy colorful threads and glue onto card. Mount onto Bermuda cardstock.
Whatever you do, have FUN. Painting with watercolors is a great stress reliever and brings out your creativity!
