Rounded Rectangle Infinity Dies Background

Today I've created a fun patchwork background using the Rounded Rectangle Infinity Dies. There are 16 metal dies in the set, so you are sure to find the perfect size for any card!

I started out by die cutting a bunch of different sizes of rectangles from scraps of Layering Paper. Then I began playing with the layout by positioning them on the white card panel. I knew I wanted to use the "hello" sentiment from the Everything Smiles Stamp + Cut set, so I white heat embossed it onto one of the rectangles. Once I had that in place, I just filled in around it with the other rectangles until I was happy with how it looked.

Next, I wanted to add some patterns to several of the rectangles. I also wanted to add some texture, so I decided to use stencils and white embossing paste. The three stencils I used were Honeycomb, Every Which Way and Asian Flower Pattern.

Once the embossed pieces were dry, I adhered all the rectangles to a white cardstock panel just slightly smaller than a card base. I left all the edges hanging off the sides and then trimmed them all at once with my paper trimmer so it would have nice clean edges. Finally, I popped the panel up on Snow Folded Card and that was it!

Thanks for stopping by today!

I love this card! I just recently purchased these dies. To see them used in a non-standard format, rather than the typical matting, maybe helpful in keeping them to be useful resource in my craft room!

Great use of texture adding embossing paste, would make great masculine card.

Wow, this is a great idea. I love that you gave several pieces also a texture. This is awesome for men cards!
