Good morning! Jess here with a card showing two fun techniques: repeat stamping using my MISTI and shadow (or second generation) stamping using the cute Headline Messages set!
To start I stamped the adorable pup from the Headline Messages set and heat-embossed him with detail black embossing powder before coloring him with Copic markers and die-cutting him with the coordinating dies. Next I stamped the sentiment onto black cardstock and heat-embossed it with detail white embossing powder. I trimmed them down to a label and set them aside while I worked on the rest of the card.
Next I inked up the Newspaper Bold Prints stamp with Soft Granite ink and stamped it once onto a piece of scrap paper. Then immediately I stamped it again onto my card base of Snow layering paper. This results in a very soft shadow of the main image that you can see very faintly. It also gives a little texture and dimension to the card without taking away from the main image and sentiment! I blended a tiny bit of Soft granite ink onto the edges of the card panel especially along the bottom. Next I lined up the sentiment from Headline Messages on my MISTI lid and inked it with Charcoal ink. I stamped it onto the left side of my card panel and then moved my card panel up and stamped it again. I kept moving the card panel to get the repeated sentiment perfectly aligned on my card. Finally I added my dog and sentiment with foam mounting tape and finished the card with a few black gems!
I love the modern look of this card and the cheeky sentiment! ;) Thanks so much for visiting and have a fabulous day!
What a cute guy card!
This is a cute card and love that it could work for both males and females. I also enjoy seeing the embossing and the grey ink. It makes me want to get the products for similar cards!
Love this set, got to order it. The inspiration is great!!
Cute card! I am not sure where you put the second generation gray stamping, though. I think I see a little bit at the bottom edge.
Super cute card, love this dog and sentiments, and I love these techniques! The soft granite ink is a great color for the shadow stamping.
