Rainbow Stencilling
Hello there, Michelle here and today I have a card to share using the Tile Pattern Stencil. This is such a versatile stencil and can be used in so many ways but for today, I thought I would do some rainbow ink blending.
I started off by taking a panel of watercolour paper (I often find inks blend well on to this) and placed the Tile Pattern Stencil over the top, securing it with some tape. Using an ink blending tool, I then blended Bold Inks over the whole panel. I used Strawberry, Tangerine, Dandelion, Green Apple, Summer Sky and Orchid inks. I removed the stencil and the piece was then adhered to a white card base with tape runner.
I die-cut a piece of vellum using a Nesting Rectangle Infinity Die. This was set aside while I worked on the sentiment. I took two sentiments from the Birthday Messages Stamp Set and stamped these on to black cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. They were then cut in to strips.
I added the sentiment strips on to the vellum panel with thin foam tape. I also added some raindrops with liquid glue. The vellum piece was then added to the card using liquid glue. I made sure to add the glue behind the sentiments and raindrops so that the glue would not be visible. I also added a very small amount in each corner to help the vellum lay flat.
Who doesn't love a rainbow? Happy stamping!
