Rainbow Background Using Small Stamps
Hi everyone, Ilina here with my take on this week's Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge. We have taken a special interest in our smallest stamps in our sets for this "Small Joys" challenge.
I decided to use two of the flower stamps from the One Thing at a Time Stamp & Cut set. To make the background, start by drawing a 1" grid using a ruler and pencil on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Dove White Cardstock. Once you have your grid, stamp the larger flowers on the intersection points. Once you have those stamped, add the small flowers in between. Stamp the flowers in rainbow order. The ink colors used are: Soft Apricot, Butter Bar, Dandelion, Lime Green, Fresh Lawn, Antigua, Tide Pool, Ombre Soft Sky to Indigo (Light and Dark hue) and Ombre Hydrangea (medium hue) and Rose Madder.
Once you have the background done, trim the panel down to 4" x 5 1/4". Set aside. Die cut two Thinking of You sentiments from the Thinking of You Stamp & Cut set from Pitch Black Cardstock and adhere them together. Stamp sentiment on Pitch Black Cardstock and emboss in white. Trim to size. Assemble the panel and apply Clear Lacquer Pen onto the Thinking of You. Let it dry. Once dry, adhere the panel to a Pitch Black note card.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have an amazing day.

I love using small stamps for backgrounds. Large stamps are sometimes unwieldy and you don’t always get even stamping.
