Potted Plants Acetate Vintage Window Scene Card

Hello friends! I'm a huge fan of scene cards and of acetate windows with stamped sentiments. I thought it would be fun to combine the two today elements for this plant shop window scene card featuring the brand new Hang In There Potted Plants stamp set from the 2019 Catalog Release with the Vintage Window Fancy Die from the My Monthly Hero February 2019 Release. A layer of acetate between the two window die cuts is stamped with sentiments from two more brand new 2019 Catalog Release sets: Mix & Match Compliments and Hero Greetings Sending Smiles.

Here's a closer look at how I stamped the four plants from Hang In There Potted Plants. I partially masked one of the plants on the right side of the background, no additional masking was needed for the rest of the images. The images were stamped with Intense Black Ink.

Once the images were stamped, I colored the plants and background in with Copic Markers. Here are the color combinations I used for each plant, the background, and the shelf the plants are sitting on:

Hanging Potted Plant: R32, R35, R37, YG95, YG99

Plant #1 (left side): G21, G24, G28, B01, B04, E30, E55, E57

Plant #2 (middle): YG21, YG25, YG17, E30, E55, E57, C3, C6, R35, R37, YR04, YR07, Y11, Y08, B01, B04

Plant #3 (right side): B34, B37, E30, E55, E57, RV69, G21, G24, G28, R35, E37, C1, C3

Shelf: C1, C3, C6, Colorless Blender

Background: B0000, B00, B01

White pen detail was added to the images using an opaque white pen.

The plant shop Vintage Window Frame was die cut twice from Hero Hues Pebble Cardstock. An Acetate Sheet was trimmed to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and stamped with "Hello There" from the Hero Greetings Sending Smiles Stamp Set using Cotton White StazOn Ink. The rest of the window greeting is from the Mix & Match Compliments stamp set. I wanted the sentiment to look like the printing on a shop window. I sandwiched the acetate panel between the two die cut windows and then popped up the window over the stamped and colored background with foam adhesive.

The angle of the card above gives you an idea of the dimension of the card. I used low profile foam adhesive so that the design will still fit inside an A2 envelope.
