Peace & Joy Quilt Cards
Hi everyone! Ilina here! With the holidays approaching quickly it's time to build up that stack of cards to send out to friends and family. So today I am sharing a few cards using the new Color Layering Quilt Stencils along with the Joyful Christmas Messages Bundle.
Two of the cards I made are two-for-one cards, since I used only one stenciled background to make two cards. And for the third card I used a second background. You can get about 12 quilted squares from one stenciled background, so you could make up to four cards with this one panel.
To make the cards, start with two panels of Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock. Using the Color Layering Quilt Stencil, add the following Core Inks: Peony, Pale Tomato, Mist and Paradise.
Once done, cut one of the panels to 4" x 5 1/4" and then diagonally in about half following the pattern. Adhere each peace on a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock.
Cut two thin strips from Gold Glitter Cardstock and adhere along the edge of the stenciled pieces. Stamp three (or more) sentiments using Clear Embossing and Watermark Ink and emboss with Iridescent Gold Embossing powder. Die cut the sentiments using the coordinating dies. Using foam adhesive, adhere to the panels.
Create three card bases from Arctic cardstock. Using foam tape, adhere one of the panels created on two of them. The third card base will be used for the last card. With this you are done with the first two cards.
For the third card, cut squares out of the second background you created. You will only use three of the squares. You can make more if you like – create up to four cards using this one background!
Cut a 4" x 5 1/4" panel from Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock. Adhere three of the squares using foam adhesive and adhere the last die cut sentiment using foam adhesive. Adhere the panel to a the third Arctic card base using foam tape. Your card is done!
