There is something so appealing about beautifully embellished planners, notebooks and journals. Like many of you, I love them and with the wonderful collection of new planner stamps and dies, it has never been easier to create fun and fabulous calendars! I’m sharing a few ideas for personalizing your planners with a handful of these supplies. First up, I’ve created a handy week-at-a-glance calendar from a half sheet of cardstock – it’s the perfect size to hang on a bulletin board or even a refrigerator. You could just as easily use these same products to stamp directly into your planner.
I started by die cutting eight speech bubbles with one of the dies in the Everything Smiles Stamp & Cut set and then stamping dates on each shape with days and numbers from the Calendar Pieces and Typewriter Keys Journaling sets. These two clear sets include all of the days, day numbers, months and years that you’ll ever need to record dates in your planners. Then, I stamped events on the calendar with some of the adorable icons and labels from the Events & Everyday Planner Icons and Holiday Planner Icons sets. For a bit of color, I added some watercolor highlights to the images and over important times.
Next, I created a narrow journal page to organize a few daily lists – a to do list, a shopping list, and a list of weekly goals. This time, I stamped a single date at the top of the page and then embellished the list with some title, label and line stamps from the Fun Day Planner and Bullet Journaling sets. I used speech bubble die cuts to add titles to each section of the list and then finished the page with a few watercolored flowers.
Finally, I made a pair of simple journaling cards that I’ll include in my planner. I stamped and watercolored some seasonal images along the top and lower edges of each card and then added an appropriate title and label. These little notes are perfect for recording memories, menus, and agendas. And, these cards, created with the new planner stamps and dies, make delightful additions to calendar, journal and scrapbook pages.
Today we’re joined by members of our Creative Team as well as other fabulous blogging friends to share projects highlighting this release!
