Orange Blossoms and Zest Wishes
Hi, Friends! This is Caly with you today sharing two citrus cards using the Orange Blossoms and Zest Wishes sets! I think it's safe to assume that everyone loves citrus cards - they're refreshing - no pun intended!
My first card features the Orange Blossoms set. I stamped and colored my images with Copic markers (Y00, Y13, YR15, YR16, YR18, G14, G19), then die-cut my image. I also stamped some extra foliage on a white panel to coordinate with the orange stem. I added a bunch of white dots all over the oranges to give them more shine and interest too.
After coloring the foliage on the white panel to match the foliage on my die-cut image, I ink-blended with Splash Reactive Ink to give the background some color where I plan on laying my orange stem. I attached my image over the space using foam adhesive for some dimension, then stamped my sentiment over white cardstock that I ink-blended with Orange Soda Ink. To finish this card, I trimmed off the two sides by 1/8" inch and matted it over Papaya cardstock.
My Zest Wishes card is similar - except it's a bit more die-cutting for all the flowers and foliage. I stamped and colored the images using Copic markers, then die-cut all the different pieces before setting them aside to work on the background (Y000, Y13, Y17, G12, G14, G16).
For my background, I ink-blended Fog Reactive Ink before stamping my lemon branch using Cup O' Joe Ink. Using foam adhesive, I attached the lemons, a few of the flowers and foliage to give them dimension and added the rest directly to the ink-blended panel. I embossed my sentiment over black cardstock and finished by trimming my panel to mat my Mustard panel all around the edges.
I hope you enjoyed these citrus cards! Emily will be here a bit later this afternoon with even more citrusy inspiration. Appreciate you stopping by and hope you all have a wonderful day!
