One Die – Two Different Occasions
Hi everyone! Ilina here! Today I am sharing a pair of cards using one die to create a focal point, but by switching up the color palettes and sentiments, I made the cards for different occasions.
The main die I am using is one of the branches from the new Winter Foliage Stamp & Cut XL set. For my first card I used fall color palette.
To make the card I die cut the branch die eight times, one each from Mustard, Sand, Cup O'Joe, Woodland, Kiwi, Palm, Cranberry and Pumpkin cardstock. Once I had them all cut, I adhered them together to form a wreath.
I cut a piece of Antique Ivory cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4" and adhered the wreath to it.
Next I stamped a sentiment from the Fall Fox set using Intens-ified Black ink and die cut it with the coordinating die. Using foam tape, I adhered it to the center of the wreath. To finish the card, I created top folding card base from Sand cardstock (4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/4") and adhered to the panel using foam tape to add dimension.
Next, I created a Christmas card, but used a non-traditional color palette, so by changing the sentiment you could use it for multiple occasions, such as Hello, Thinking of You, Happy Birthday and so on.
I used the same process to create this card. I chose the following colors of cardstock for my wreath: Paradise, Plum, Nautical, Kiwi, Peony, Canary, Papaya and Azalea. The base panel is Deluxe Smooth White cardstock.
For the sentiment I used one of the plates from the Three Holiday Messages Hot Foil Plate set and foiled in black. I then cut it and added it to the the center of the wreath.
To finish the card I adhered the panel to a Pitch Black top folded card base.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Hope you have an amazing day!
