We are so excited to welcome you to the North Pole with our October My Monthly Hero kit and add-ons! Our Creative Team has gotten into the holiday spirit using the products this month and we hope you are ready to play too! At the end of this post you will find links to a blog hop that will provide plenty of inspiration using this month's kit and add-ons.

This month's October My Monthly Hero kit will take you on a trip to a magical place. Destination? The North Pole with Santa, elves, villages, and much more… Everything you need to create any number of festive wintry scenes. The kit contains a chock-full 6x8" clear stamp set, offering an endless number of combinations. Coordinating Frame Cuts and Fancy Dies are also included, as is a sampling of decorative paper to add texture and shine to your projects. Jayne: There are so many wonderful images in this month's stamp set, I decided to use as many as I could to create a fun background for a pair of holiday sentiments. I started by using seven of the kit's image dies to create masks that I placed on a white cardstock panel. One at a time, I used a foam blender with Pale Tomato, Cotton Candy, Fresh Lawn, and Green Hills inks to apply color to the masked areas. Then, I stamped the matching images with Black ink over the inked shapes.

Next, I covered each image with masking paper and applied a subtle layer of Mint Julep ink to the top of the panel and around the images, gradually blending to white. To complete the background, I stamped an assorted selection of the kit's other stamps across the panel, filling each space with images that fit nicely.

I embossed two sentiments onto strips of red and green cardstock that I secured to a vellum cloud and then centered them on the card with foam tape. I matted the panel with white cardstock and added it to a pool card base. For some holiday sparkle, I finished the card with a few, clear gems.
