Christmas Tree Trimming with Non-Traditional Colors
Hi everyone! Ilina here! Today I am sharing a Christmas card using a non-traditional color scheme and the new Christmas Tree Pieces Fancy Die set.
To make the card I started with a piece of Lapis cardstock measuring 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". Starting from the top, I ink blended Navy and Dusty Blue inks to create a gradient look. Next using some Unicorn White Re-inker and White Iridescent Shimmer Spray, I added some splatters to create the "stars". Set aside to dry.
White the background was drying, I die cut the tree and ornaments from Peony, Chestnut, Cherry, Paradise and Kiwi cardstock.
Trim off the trunk from the Peony tree and adhere it on top of the Chestnut one. Add details using the Crystal Clear Lacquer Pen, top with White Puff Embossing Powder and heat set to create the look of snow. Adhere the ornaments and add Sparkle Clear Lacquer Pen details on top. Die cut a star from Silver Glitter Paper.
To assemble the card trim the background to 4" x 5 1/4". Adhere a piece of White Glitter Paper along the bottom. Adhere the tree and star.
Stamp the sentiment from the Christmas Carolers set on Nautical cardstock. Emboss with Detail White Embossing Powder. Adhere to the panel, and then to a Dove White Top Folded Card.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you have an amazing day!
