Video: No-Line Watercoloring the Togetherness Flower Bouquet

Caly Person

Hi, Friends! It's Caly with you today sharing a card made using the Togetherness Flower Bouquet. I love this large floral cluster and thought it would be great for no-line watercoloring. I have a video on the Hero Arts YouTube channel if you'd like to check it out!

(If you are having trouble viewing this video, please try watching it HERE on YouTube.)

To start, I used the Hero Arts Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink to condition my stamp set before inking it up with Antique Linen Distress Ink. Then I used Daniel Smith Watercolors to paint my image.

I used the following Daniel Smith Watercolor paints for my image today: Permanent Violet, Quinacridone Fuchsia, Carbazole Violet, Deep Sap Green, Undersea Green, Hooker’s Green, Quinacridone Gold.

After watercoloring, I splattered my panel with the Quinacridone Gold and white paint. After drying completely with a heat tool, I trimmed my watercolor panel and stamped the sentiment.

To finish, I mounted it over Sand cardstock using foam adhesive for added dimension.  I hope you enjoyed this card.  Thanks so much for stopping by today!

this card is stunning! I love your technique; I am just experimenting with watercoloring, feeling very uncertain and new at this. I usually rely on ink blending for a similar effect. your style gives me courage to try again!
