Join Our National Craft Month Challenge!
March is National Craft Month, friends! What's better than a whole month dedicated to creativity and crafting? We are celebrating with a no-pressure, month-long challenge with weekly prompts and of course, a GIVEAWAY! You're invited to tackle any or all of the weekly themes below, and in any order you wish. The prompts are intended to jump start your creativity and inspire you to just have fun and create! Stay tuned for details on how to enter the challenge at the end of this post.
This week's prompt is birthday cards - can we ever really have enough of these on hand? Ilina is here to get the birthday card stash-building party started!
Hi everyone, Ilina here. I love the ocean and all the sea animals, so I decided to use the new Fishy Stamp & Cut for my birthday card today. Using two Top Folded Dove White Cards I created a tri-fold card by adhering the second note card turned upside down to the back of the first one.
Once I created my card I used my MISTI to stamp the bowl image on the top flap and then on the inside flap. I cut out the one on the top, and was able to see the one on the bottom through the die cut "hole". The bowl was colored with alcohol based markers.
I stamped the fish and stones using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink and colored them with alcohol based markers and die cut/cut them out.
I cut out 1" from the bottom of the top flap. I stamped the Bubbles Bold Prints background onto a piece of Paradise Cardstock, embossed in white and heat set. Cut a 4 1/4" x 1 1/2" panel and adhered to the bottom flap (on the bottom.)
I adhered the fish and stones, added some Crystal Clear Lacquer Pen and let it dry. In the meantime I stamped the sentiment onto Pitch Black Cardstock and embossed in white, cut it to size and adhered to my card.
Are you ready to join the challenge? Share a direct link to your project(s) in the Link Party below, now through March 31 at 11:59pm PT. There are no product rules and no limit to the number of projects you can submit. Just make sure that they fit within the themes and have been newly created during National Craft Month (March 1-March 31.) It's that easy! At the conclusion of the challenge, we will randomly select a winner from all valid entries to receive a Hero Arts prize pack valued at more than $100. If you use Instagram, you can add #herocelebratescrafts to your challenge photos there for even more chances to win additional prizes!
Edited 3/18: We are happy to report that the technical issue with the Link Party has been fixed. Any project links that were submitted as comments below this post (as we temporarily directed this past weekend) will be included in the challenge. Please resume submitting projects to the Link Party as usual. Thank you for your patience!
We look forward to seeing what you create. Wishing you a fun and creative National Craft Month!
