Multiplying Your Ink Stash
Hello there, and welcome to the Hero Arts blog! I've got great news for you! Did you know that your ink stash can create about twice as many colors as you have ink pads? It's true! In today's project I used four ink pads for blending, but I created eight colors!
To recreate, white heat emboss Crafting Tools Bold Prints on Dove White cardstock. Ink blend with your favorite blending tool and Cotton Candy, Lemon Yellow, Tide Pool and Orchid inks.
Overlap shades to create secondary colors. Pink and yellow create orange, pool and purple a blue, etc... Many inks carry the same principles into stamping, a yellow over a pink creates orange. Imagine how much your ink supply just multiplied!
To finish project, stamp a Crafty Message in Black Dye ink across the top of an A2 (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") Dove White cardstock panel. Trim blended panel to fit below, taking into account black accent. Adhere 1/4" Pitch Black strip to top back of Crafting Tools Bold Prints panel allowing about half to remain above the blending. Adhere to folded card base. Tie on twine for a fun accent.
Please remember that while the My Monthly Hero kits are gone for good when they sell out, the add-ons, like the two used today, will be restocked should they sellout. Use the retailer notification buttons to let Hero Arts know you would like more and to be notified as soon as stock is replenished!
Thank you for joining me today. Have a crafty day and I'll see you soon!

What a fantastic card Janette. The prospect of increasing our ink stash so easily is a great idea. I hadn’t really thought of that before but it makes perfect sense. Thanks for sharing this.

I loved this technique for making several backgrounds at once! I haven’t been able to get around well, so I started a craft group at my house and can’t wait to show them this technique. Love the crafty stamps and dies! It reminded me of my wonderful group of ladies.
