May 2018 My Monthly Hero is Here! + Giveaway!

Welcome to the release of our May My Monthly Hero kit and add-ons! This month we're inspired by family, nostalgia and the Tree of Life.

Trees are majestic, awe-inspiring, sweet and/or grand, and a little nostalgic, as our Tree of Life My Monthly Hero kit suggests. We've included a sturdy trunk and a variety of branches you can use in many ways, as well as images to evoke fun and childish glee. Also included are a tree background stencil, coordinating dies, a tree swing window Fancy Die, watercolor paper panels, and lots of leaf elements (as dies, washi tape and skeleton leaves).

This month's kit includes:

6" x 8" Clear Stamp Set
13 Coordinating Frame Cuts Dies
2 Leaf Dies
1 Window Fancy Die with Frame
1 Roll Leaf Patterned Washi Tape (Assorted Designs)
5 Ivory Skeleton Leaves
4 5" x 7" Sheets 100% Recycled Handmade Hot Pressed Watercolor Paper (140 lb)
1 5.25" x 6.5" Tree Swirl Stencil

This kit is valued at $74, but is an incredible deal at $34.99. It is available in limited quantities - grab yours before they are gone!

We also have several optional add-on products this month - three clear stamp sets, two coordinating Frame Cut sets, one Stamp & Cut set, one Confetti Die, two Bold Print background Cling stamps, a fun new style of ombré ink, and another new addition to our Liquid Watercolors line - Leaf! You can also purchase all of the add-ons as a bundle, at a savings to you. Let's take a look at them...

Continuing the swing theme of the main kit, we've added a 4x6 clear stamp set Swing By Soon along with matching Swing By Soon Frame Cuts.

Classic silhouettes of family, friends, and even your furry family members makes Family Portrait and the matching Family Portrait Frame Cuts a useful addition to your collection.

Interested in geneology, family trees, scrapbooking or other methods of documenting your family history? Family Tree Words is a must-have!

While we don't necessarily endorse the carving of initials in tree trunks, doing so in ink with our Besties Stamp & Cut sure is a sweet, nostalgic take on it!

Use as a background or focal point directly on your card, or die cut and use as a stencil - our Tree and Leaf Confetti Die can be used in several different, beautiful ways!

Family is everything - and the Family Word Bold Prints has them all covered!

The idea for Family Tree Grid Bold Prints is to use it as that, a family tree. But how many other uses could you think of for this fun background? Design element? Mood tracker for a bullet journal?

If you purchased our April kit last month, you no doubt had fun with our new Reactive Inks included in the kit. This month we've taken three beautiful, bold colors and put them into one of our favorite formats - an ombré ink pad! Ombre Reactive Spring Day is vibrant, water-reactive, and blends like butter. You're going to love it!

And last but most certainly not least, a gorgeous new addition to our line of Liquid Watercolors - Liquid Watercolor Leaf. Perfect for our Tree of Life-inspired month!

Love all of these fabulous new add-ons? You can Get Them All in a bundle for roughly a 10% savings!

Let's take a look at some projects Clare created with this month's kit!

She used a combination of Cotton Candy and Fresh Peach to create an ombré effect with the branches from the kit. There were a couple swinging images to choose from in this kit's stamp set, and this girl worked so well here, stamped in black.

The sentiment, from the kit, looks so pretty embossed in gold on black cardstock.

Some golden pearls top off this card!

Here's another look at those branches, again stamped in an ombré effect using Cotton Candy, Bubble Gum and Ultra Pink.

Clare left a little room in the center to place several sentiments, from the main kit, that were heat embossed in white on black cardstock.

Here's another quick card, where Clare blended Dandelion, Cotton Candy and Antigua and then stamped a branch, girl and grass image from the main kit.

She made a window to this scene by die-cutting a rectangle out cardstock, and placing the background behind it. A sentiment, from the main kit, finished off the card.

For more ideas, we've asked our talented Creative Team as well as some crafty friends to help us introduce this kit. Please be sure to visit all of their blogs  and leave a comment at every stop along the way. One reader will be randomly selected to receive a free May kit (or reimbursement if you have already purchased your kit!) Leave your comments on all of these blogs by Sunday, May 13th at 11:59pm Pacific, then look for the winner announcement here on the blog the following week.
