Mixing Hero Arts Wax and Embossing Powder
Good morning! Jess here with a cheery mixed media card! Today I'm experimenting with the new Hero Wax for the first time and I'm excited to share those results with you.
To start I stamped the Underwater Bold Prints stamp onto a panel of Adriatic cardstock with Navy ink. Then I laid the Water Flow Slimline Stencil over the panel and applied a thin layer of White Pearl Hero Paste over the stencil. I removed the stencil, washed the stencil, and let the panel dry completely. Once it was dry I used my finger to lightly rub a little Gold Hero Wax over the dried paste for a little sparkle. While it was still wet I sprinkled it with Gold Glitter Embossing Powder and heat-embossed it with my heat gun. The Gold Hero Wax puffs a little as it heats and held the powder in place nicely! The result is little bits of gold glitter and sparkle captured in the wax. It's subtle but really shines when it catches the light!
Next I die-cut the Seashells Fancy Dies from Deluxe Smooth White cardstock and colored them with Copic markers. Then I used my finger to apply more Gold Hero Wax around the edges of the shells. I immediately sprinkled them with Gold Glitter Embossing Powder, tapped off the excess, and heat-embossed them. I stamped the sentiment from Sea You Soon onto Nautical cardstock with Embossing & Watermark Ink and heat-embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder. I adhered the shells with Precision Glue and added the sentiment with foam mounting tape to finish the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
