We’ll announce the winner tomorrow morning, prior to the launch of the My Monthly Hero kit at 10am Eastern/10am Pacific on May 2.

I have always been a fan of big and bold sentiments as I think they work beautifully for unique backgrounds. For the card I'm sharing in this blog post I took the large "Thank" and heat embossed it repeatedly on a card base created out of green cardstock from my kit.

I first prepped the card front with an anti static powder tool, then stamped "Thank" repeatedly at an angle, covered entire surface with [hero_product_link sku="PW100" text="Gold Embossing Powder"] and heat set it. I was worried the cardstock would warp from that much heat, but I'm happy to report it was thick enough to remain perfectly flat and the end result looks like a very trendy foiling.

To house my sentiment I selected one of the tags. First I stamped You Are So Special using [hero_product_link sku="AF214" text="Cup O' Joe"] ink and trimmed to tag to make it shorter. I also wanted my tag to appear as a two piece element, so I masked a part of it using washi tape and heat embossed the top with same Gold embossing powder, I heat embossed it twice for a fuller coverage.

To finish this card off I added several sequins and a bit of twine to the tag.

Be sure to stop by later today for one more look at this gorgeous kit!
