May My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #1 + Giveaway!
Hello and welcome! Today we begin the countdown to the launch of our May My Monthly Hero kit! Over the next three days we will be sharing several ideas for using this month's kit, leading up to the release on Monday, May 2 at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. Be sure to visit every post and leave your comments - one lucky reader will win a kit before you can buy it!
This month's kit was designed by our fabulous card artist Kelly Rasmussen! Kelly has designed several other popular Hero Arts stamps featuring her gorgeous handwriting. We are head over heels in love with this month's wonderful kit, filled with everything you need to say thank you, make someone's day or spread a little kindness. Here's Kelly with our first look at the kit...
I really like to give gift cards, but sometimes feel they lack a personal touch. So by creating a custom gift card holder, I think it really takes it up a notch and puts a little extra love in giving gift cards.
I used the gift card die and stamp set included in the kit to create both of these simple gift card envelopes. The silver and white heat embossing adds some textural interest and the vellum adds a bit of elegance.
The gift card envelope die is a tri-fold envelope with a slit cut on the back to tuck in the flap. No adhesive is necessary to assemble the envelope and the die creates score lines where the two folds need to be made -- doesn't get much more simple than that!
The stamp set in the kit features a handwritten "thank you" message and lots of coordinating phrases. The two words, "thank" and "you", are separate images, so you can easily stamp one or both. There is truly something for everyone!
I'll be back a couple more times today with more about this month's release - keep checking back! And don't forget to leave a comment below for a chance to win a kit!
