March My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #6 + Giveaway

It's our final countdown post before the release of the March My Monthly Hero kit and add-ons tomorrow, Monday March 2 at 10am Pacific/1pm Eastern! We hope you've enjoyed all of the peeks from our Creative Team this weekend. Just a reminder: For this month, we will start shipping our kits and add-ons on March 16 due some supplier delays. We know you are excited to get your kit and we will work to ship earlier if possible. Thank you for your wonderful patronage and patience. Now here's Michelle with our final countdown card, and it's a beauty!

As soon as I saw this kit, I fell in love with the tree image. I wanted to use that as my focal point for today's card, so I kept the card very clean and simple to let the tree shine through!

Smell The Blossoms by Michelle Short for Hero Arts

I first took a panel of Hero Hues Dove White Cardstock and using the Mini MISTI for placement, I stamped the solid layer of the tree leaves using Thistle Reactive Ink. I stamped this twice to get the colour coverage I wanted and then stamped the second stamp layer on top. This time using Grape Slush Reactive Ink

I placed the tree trunk in the Mini MISTI and then stamped it using Charcoal Mid-Tone Shadow Ink. I love the combination of the grey with the purples. I took the sentiment from the main stamp set and stamped this on top using Intens-ified Black Ink. The panel was adhered to a Dove White Top Folded Card with foam tape and then I added a few gemstones around the sentiment.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post. We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts. The winner will be announced first thing Monday morning, March 2, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Good luck!

So simple and elegant. I really like how the sentiment is stamped on top the image. I wouldn’t have thought of doing that.

    Beautiful CAS card!

  • Kimberly McField

I love your CAS card. The colors you used are beautiful. I could see this used as a sympathy card, with a different sentiment, too.

What a beautiful clean and simple card! I just love the colors you used for the tree. :)
