Making an Impact with Multiples
Janette Kausen
Hello and welcome to the Hero Arts Blog! Janette here to share a little insight on using multiples to create impact. Today we feature hearts for Valentine's Day, but creating with multiples in various shapes and sizes ups the drama factor all year though!
Begin by applying a raspberry and a pink shade of Nuvo Glimmer Paste to an A2 cardstock panel. While that is set aside to dry, die cut the Heart Confetti Fancy Die into the new (available February 15th in the Hero Arts shop) Hero Hues Dove White solid core heavyweight cardstock. Trim heart and Glimmer panels just shy of A2 and adhere together with Hero Arts Precision Glue (also coming on the 15th of February!).
Next, washi together the six smallest Nesting Hearts Infinity Dies. With the cut side of the die facing up, apply gold foil with the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System. Then die cut with the next largest heart shaped die. Creating with multiple hearts amplifies the drama and impact of the focal image. Just one heart would have been overpowered by the sharp contrast of the floral images.
Stamp You're Beautiful flowers in Intense Black and Copic color. Apply white gel pen accents, fussy cut and adhere in multiples around popped up foiled heart. White heat emboss Love Bandit sentiment and adhere in place with dimensional adhesive. Foam tape finished panel to card base to complete.
