Love is Love!

Good morning!  Jess here with a trio of BRIGHT cards using our fun Love is Love Bold Prints cling stamp!

I was in the mood to get inky and thought it would be fun to play with the Love is Love Bold Prints cling stamp and distress inks!  I started by removing my stamp from the plastic packaging it came in and then I cut the sheet of packaging into a large square.  You could do the same with acetate but I find the thinner plastic is more easily manipulated!  First I smooshed my distress inks (you can see the colors I used in the photo above) onto the plastic square and spritzed them with water.  Then I flipped the plastic over onto a piece of watercolor paper and pressed down with my fingers to spread the paint around.

I let it soak into the paper for about 30 seconds and then peeled the plastic up and let it dry the rest of the way.  Once it was dry I spritzed it with water and blotted off the droplets.  I repeated this process three times to create three different backgrounds.

For my first card I prepped the background panel with my powder tool and then used my MISTI to stamp the Love is Love cling stamp with versamark before heat-embossing it with white embossing powder.  I used the Nesting Hearts Infinity Dies to die cut a variety of hearts in snow layering paper and black cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment from You Are Loved onto a white heart with intense black ink.  Then I pressed a versamark pad over the heart and heat-embossed the entire surface with clear embossing powder.  I repeated the process twice to get the look of an enamel embellishment!  I brushed a black cardstock heart with spectrum noir clear sparkle and then layered my white heart on top.

I added a tangle of metallic silver thread under the black heart and adhered it to the rainbow background.  I trimmed the panel down and adhered it to a black card base.  Finally I finished it with a few sparkling clear sequins.

For my second card I stamped the Love is Love cling stamp onto snow layering paper with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I trimmed it down and adhered it to a white card base.  Then I die-cut one of my rainbow panels with various sizes of the Nesting Heart Infinity Dies.  I stamped the sentiment from You are Loved onto the largest heart with versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder.

I layered the hearts onto the background panel with regular adhesive and foam mounting tape.  I added spectrum noir clear sparkle to some of the hearts and a few sparkling clear sequins!

My last card uses the older Love Stamp and Cut set.  I die-cut the word Love from white cardstock three times and adhered them together.  Then I pressed versamark over the word and heat-embossed it with silver embossing powder.  I repeated the process twice to get a nice smooth metallic finish.  I stamped the rest of the sentiment onto a smaller white heart with intense black ink and then layered it over two more hearts.  I applied spectrum noir clear sparkle to the black heart and then adhered the die-cut word over the hearts.

I had a bit of unfortunate blending on one of the rainbow panels so I decided to adhere the heart to the side of that panel to cover the mistake.  I added a leftover heart from my second card with foam mounting tape, trimmed it down and adhered it to a white card base!

And those are my cards!  It was quite an inky day but I love the way they turned out and I hope you do, too!  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous weekend!
