Looking Glass Christmas Tags
Welcome everyone! Mindy here with you today and I'm sharing some Christmas tag inspiration using the Looking Glass Ornaments and Looking Glass Snowflakes from Hero Arts. The Looking Glass series are great layered together but don't forget, you can use them individually too!
I started my set by die cutting out four tags from the Tag Infinity Die using Dove White cardstock. Two of the pieces will be my base and two will be the front of the tag from which I'll cut out my Looking Glass.
On the base tags, I'm going to adhere skinny strips of cardstock cut from a variety of colors. For the ornaments tag, I used Peony, Azalea, Cherry, Kiwi and Meadow.
On the snowflake tag, I'm using Mist, Paradise, Adriatic, Lavender and Amethyst.
Now using the front tags, I'm die cutting out one of the layers from the Looking Glass Ornaments and one of the layers from the Looking Glass Snowflakes.
I also die cut these from Silver and Gold glitter cardstock as well.
I found a square and circle that were just slightly larger than the Looking Glass and cut them out to give it a frame. Then taking my scissors, I trimmed out the inside portion of the looking glass so all you have is a frame.
Before I adhered anything on to the front of the tag, I want to get my sentiments stamped.
On the ornaments tag, I stamped a sentiment from the Ho Ho Ho Santa Faces stamp set. It has a lot of great small sentiments.
For the snowflake tag, I stamped a sentiment from the Graphic Lines Holiday stamp set. I love the typography of this set. Both were stamped in Intensified Black Ink.
Now that all of my stamping is done, I can adhere the frames with some liquid glue and then the top tag to the base tag that has the strips of cardstock.
Such a unique look for a tag and a great way to use scraps and personalize your tags.
