Tri-fold Card with Looking Glass Canyon Lands Dies
Hey there friends! Daniel, here, with a birthday card any guy would enjoy. It features the new Looking Glass Canyon Lands Dies in a tri-fold setup. Watching Jennifer McGuire's video on using these Looking Glass line of dies inspired me to move beyond my basic single fold card to try a more complex set up. It looks hard but proved quite easy to accomplish.
Supplies Used to Create this Card:
- Looking Glass Canyon Lands Dies
- Message Strips Stamp and Cut XL
- Two Dove White Side-folded Cards
- Canary Cardstock
- Intens-ified Black Ink
- Caramel Ink
- Green Hills Ink
- Pine Ink
- Ink Blending Brush
- Precision Glue
- W10 Copic Marker
- Washi Tape
- Die Cutting Machine
Steps to Create This Card:
To begin, I adhered an A2 panel of Canary Cardstock to the inside of the outer Dove White Side-folded Card with Precision Glue.
Next, I die cut the canyon die out of the inside back of the other card.
Then, I die cut the tree die out of the front of the other half of the same card.
After that, I die cut the grass die out of the front of the outer card.
To add color, I masked off the grass, tree and canyon with washi tape and smooshed Green Hills Ink over the grass, Pine Ink over the tree, and Caramel Ink over the canyon.
Then, with an Ink Blending Brush, I added some Caramel Ink to the sky and foreground of the canyon fold.
I colored the tree trunk and branches with a W10 Copic Marker.
Next, I adhered the inside card, canyon panel down, over the Canary cardstock with Precision Glue.
To finish off the card, I stamped Happy Birthday on the front with Intens-ified Black Ink.
I enjoyed creating my first tri-fold card with these Looking Glass Canyon Lands Dies. The coloring was super easy and the results are eye-catching. I hope you'll give these dies a go, too. All of the Looking Glass Dies can be used in this same way.
Below, you will find a grid of supplies I used for your convenience. Have a wonderful and creative week!

Wonderful scene tri-fold. Watched Jennifer’s vid. Made a trial card with lighthouse dies. I think I have the tri-fold pieces attached wrong so will rewatch vid.
