Layered Topiary

I am always amazed at how the Color Layering stamps build together to create stunning images and the Layered Topiary set does not disappoint!

To create the topiary, I began by die cutting the full tree image from the coordinating Layered Topiary Frame Cuts. Then I used my Mini Misti to help line up the stamps and started stamping! I just wanted two sections to my topiary, so I used a scissors to trim off the top section. The leaves were stamped with Lime Green, Fresh Lawn and Moss inks -- a perfect combination of light, medium and dark inks.

The background of the card was made by die cutting the Bold Graphic Confetti Die from white cardstock and then adhering that piece to my white card base. By using the same color for the die cut as the background, it give the illusion of an embossed image, when actually it is a die.

The sentiment is white heat embossed on black cardstock and adhered to the bottom portion of the card. I also put a thin strip of Pool Layering Paper through the middle to give a little pop of color. By putting these paper strips along the bottom of the card, it gives the topiary a place to "sit" so it doesn't look like it is just floating in air. Finally, I adhered the topiary with foam adhesive and added some Glossy Accent drops scattered on the background.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a lovely day!
