July My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #6 + Giveaway!

Hero Arts

We are back for the final countdown post leading up to the release of the July My Monthly Hero kit! Release day is Monday, July 2nd at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. We have been sharing ideas for using both the main kit, as well as new optional add-on products that will be available on Monday. Don't forget to leave a comment on this and every post as we will be giving away a kit on Monday. Now let's join Ilina and Clare, who are teaming up today to share some festive cards...

Hi everyone, this is Ilina sharing another peek of the new MMH kit. This kit has so many possibilities to build scenes and so many images. As well a lot of sentiments using fun fonts. For my card today I decided to use the fair skyline border stamp along with the rollercoaster (I am not fun of rollercoasters in real life, but I LOVE them on cards).

I started with 3 3/4" x 5" panel of Snow Layering paper and did ink blending on the bottom using Tide Pool and Soft Pool ink pads. Once the ink was dried I stamped the skyline and the rollercoaster using the Intense Black ink and MISTI to line them up. Next I stamped the sentiment. I think this is one of my favorite sentiments from the kit.

To finish off the card I adhered the panel to a Pool folded card using some fun foam (you can use dimensional mounting tape as alternative)

Next up is Clare with an amazing card!

One of my favorite things about this kit is the super fun reactive inks! For today's card, I blended a night sky using the blue ink, masking off three sides of the card. I used more ink at the top, and less at the bottom, for a gradient look.

Then I sprinkled water on the top, and patted it dry with a paper towel. Love how the ink blends and reacts to water!

I then stamped the carnival skyline image in black, as well as a cute little balloon. Some little fireworks were also stamped with Unicorn ink (included in the kit).

A sentiment from the kit was heat embossed in white on black cardstock, and adhered to the night scene.

You could leave it as a one-layer card, but I decided to stamp a star background in white on a strip of kraft paper, and adhered it to the card.

What do you think of the inks? I love 'em!

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We'll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all the countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, July 2nd, before the kit launches at 1pm Eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win! Good luck!

Like previous posts, such gorgeous cards – but then, how hard would it be to create when past kits have been full of wonderful stamps to create with? Especially love the sentiment in the first card, brilliant to pair it with a rollercoaster.

The images perfectly match the sentiments.

Hero Arts has done it again! This kit is an adorable and unique must-have.

Love both of these cards! The color of the ink is beautiful! Really like the sentiment paired with the rollercoaster, looking forward to using that combo! Woohoo release tomorrow!!

I love the first cards sentiment… through ups & downs.
