July My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #3 + Giveaway
Caly Person

Hello! It's time for another look at the July My Monthly Hero Kit before the kit releases on Monday, July 1 at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. We will be here for the rest of the weekend, sharing inspiration before the launch. Now let's join Caly for another look at this fabulous kit.
Hi, Friends! We're creating with a lake scene-building set this month - all about summer fun! I really enjoy not having to color images sometimes and being able to use those neglected colored ink pads can be fun!

I created my scene by stamping the mountain using Soft Granite and Charcoal ink. Then I stamped the dock using Soft Brown and Cup O Joe ink. After cutting those two images using the coordinating dies, I set them aside to work on my background.

I chose where I wanted the mountain to sit on my card, than used it as a guide for my ink-blending. I ink-blended Soft Yellow ink for the sunlight, then Soft Sky and Navy ink for the sky and lake water. I also used the Navy ink to stamp the water ripples and the rest of the silhouette images to fill my scene using Intense Black ink.

To complete my card, I adhered the mountain and dock onto my card. The sentiment is stamped on Dove White cardstock and matted with Pitch Black cardstock to help it stand out and is adhered to my card using foam adhesive.
I love the silhouettes of the kids jumping into the lake, don't you? I'm not much of a water person, but I can picture my kids having that much fun!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Such a fun card! Thanks for sharing.
Wow this card takes me back as a kid to the lake across the street where all the neighborhood kids would jump off the dock. Fun times. Different times. Back in the day when Mom’s would send you out to play early and tell you to be back home before it got dark outside, Thanks Hero Arts for the nostalgia!
What a fun card! This set looks like it is perfect for all occasions. I like you sometimes want to just use my ink pads and create a great card and not have to color images. Can’t wait to play with this set.
This is so cute. We just bought a house in a lake community! I can’t wait to use this kit and frame the card for the house,
Life IS better at the lake. That has been my experience, lol. Thanks for the giveaway!
