July My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #2 + Giveaway!

Amy Tsuruta

We are back for another countdown post, leading up to the release of the July My Monthly Hero kit!. Release day is Monday, July 2nd at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. We'll be sharing ideas for using both the main kit, as well as new optional add-on products that will be available on Monday. And don't forget to leave a comment on this and every post as we will be giving away a kit on Monday. Now let's join Amy who is sharing another look at this fabulous kit...

Hello and welcome to Idea #2 of the July My Monthly Hero Kit!  This kit is filled with carnival fun!  For my card today, I used the main kit stamps and one optional add-on.

I made my cardbase by cutting strips from the Pool Mix and Snow Layering Papers.  I adhered them alternately creating a fun striped panel.  I used the same Pool layer and stamped the Optional Add-On background stamp in Strawberry Bold Ink

The silhouette and airplane images are from the kit.  They have been stamped with Intense Black.  The sentiment has been stamped in the coordinating Strawberry Bold Ink.

I incorporated carnival colors which to me is aqua, red  and yellow so I matted the focal point with a panel from the Sunshine Mix Layering Papers pack.

That's it for me!  You're going to love this kit!

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We'll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all the countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, July 2nd, before the kit launches at 1pm Eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win! Good luck!

I love the optional add on background. It is very nostalgic looking. It would be great stamped in a bold color or a tone on tone look. So many options!

Awww, sweet tea! who would ever have thought to put that on a stamp? Love it! Thanks, Hero Arts:)
