Video: Juice Splatter Background featuring March My Monthly Hero
Hello friends!! It’s Channin here and today I create a bright and splashy card featuring March 2023 My Monthly Hero Kits. This card also features the new Neon Brights Liquid Watercolors. Two of the neon colors (orange and green) are included in the Premium Kit. Check out the video below and/or read the following post to get the step by step instructions on this fun and simple card.
(If you are having trouble viewing the video, watch HERE on YouTube.)
To create this card I first stamped a couple images from the clear stamp set in INTENS-ified Black ink onto Deluxe Smooth White cardstock. I then Copic colored the images:
• Pith/Core: Y00
• Flesh: Y06, Y15, YR23
• Peel: Y17, YR04, YR07
• Leave/Stem: G43, YG67, G28
When I finished coloring the images I then die cut them out with the matching dies and set them aside.
Next, I created my splashy background. I started with an A2 panel of watercolor paper. Then with the included eye-dropper, I added some of the Neon Brights Orange (included in the Premium Kit) Liquid Watercolor directly to the panel. I then spritzed the liquid watercolor with some water. Next with a rocket air blaster/blower (you can use a straw instead) I blew the watercolor around to create the perfect splatter. I then allowed the panel to dry completely.
Next, I added some Neon Brights Yellow Liquid Watercolor to the panel, added water and then blew the watercolor around. Once the splatter was to my liking set the panel aside to dry.
When the panel was dry I die cut it with one of the rectangle dies from the Nesting Rectangles Infinity Die Set. I then stamped the panel with a sentiment in INTENS-ified Black ink.
Next, I finished the card by adhering the panel to the front of an A2 top-folding Dove White card base with foam adhesive and then adhering the orange die-cut to the front.
I hope you enjoyed today’s card and video! Thank you so much for stopping by!
