Joy to the World

Kelly Rasmussen

Today I have a card to share that features some fun products from the 2017 Wintertime Fun Catalog. It's always tough for me to start making holiday cards when the fall season has just begun, but come December I'm always glad to have that stack of cards ready to go.

The Color Layering Joy Message set features the large "joy" message along with some flourishes and corresponding messages

To create the "joy" portion of the message, I first stamped the shadow image of the word using Cotton Candy Mid-Tone Shadow Ink followed by the solid image with red ink. Then I white heat embossed the outline image for the final layer. I highly recommend using some sort of stamp positioning tool (such as the Misti) when lining up these images!

To complete the message I stamped the rest of the sentiment using Antigua Mid-Tone Shadow Ink. Then I die cut a circle using the Circle Infinity Dies.

For the background I white heat embossed the Christmas Lights Bold Prints image on a Punch Folded Card and added a strip of Pool Layering Paper to the right side of the card base. This Christmas lights background is just fabulous! I think it would be really fun to do some watercoloring on the lightbulbs.

Have a great day!
