MMH Countdown to Creativity

Hello and welcome as we begin the countdown to the release of the January My Monthly Hero kit! Release day is Monday, January 9th at 1pm eastern/10am pacific. We’ll be here for the next three days, sharing ideas for using both the main kit, as well as several other new optional add-on products that will be available on Monday. And, remember to comment on each and every post as we’ll be giving away a kit on Monday morning, before the kit launches! Now join Jayne as she shares a first glimpse at this beautiful kit …

If you love flowers, particularly roses, and you embrace opportunities to send love notes, thinking of you cards, and Valentines to your family and friends, then I think you are going to absolutely adore the January My Monthly Hero Kit! The huge stamp set is full of delightful heart and floral images, with matching dies, that can be used to create lovely custom bouquets on your cards!

For the first peek at this month’s kit, I created three simple cards, using many of the two-stamp, color layering, floral images. I stamped the wonderful, large heart with Bubble Gum and Raspberry Jam ink, die cut it the matching die, and then layered it over a postage stamp shaped panel that I cut with the new, add-on DI345 Nesting Postage Stamps Infinity Dies! I also embossed a script, Love sentiment onto a smaller, postage stamp panel.

On a second card, I created a small bouquet with the cute, canning jar vase stamp. After stamping and inking the jar, I used the matching die to easily cut around the image. I especially like how the optional Love sentiment fits perfectly across the jar. I secured the die cut flowers and leaves to the card with a variety of glue dots and foam tape to create depth among the flowers.

Similarly, I created another bouquet on my third card, but this time I used the fun, paper and ribbon wrapping stamp. I colored the stamped image with markers, die cut the shape, and secured it to the card with foam tape. I wrapped each kraft card with a green ribbon and then scattered a few, colorful gems across the card!

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all of the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, January 9th, before the kit launches at 1pm eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

We have some exciting news to share… Starting January 18th you will be able to sign up for the My Monthly Hero kit subscription program! Stay tuned for more details on this program so that you never miss a kit!

Thanks so much for stopping by this morning. Be sure to stop by later today for another look at this amazing kit!
