Inspired by... Postage!
When I saw the recent "love" stamps put out by the US Postal Service, I knew I had to make a card to go with them! The Nesting Postage Stamps Infinity Dies were perfect! I used them to make a giant postage stamp for my card in white. I inked up the various images from the Cherubs stamp set in Cotton Candy ink, and randomly stamped them on the postage die cut, as shown. Then I overstamped "forever yours" from the stamp set in Strawberry ink. The "love" cupid was also stamped in Strawberry, then die cut with the matching Cherub Frame Cuts. To finish the look of the postage stamp, I used matching scraps to die cut the word "valentine" and the tiny hearts with Valentine Message And Three Hearts Fancy Dies, arranging the hearts in a pattern like on the postage stamp. Finally, I handcut the wavy postage cancellation.
Being intrigued with watercolors of late, for my next card I took a small piece of Handmade Watercolor Paper and wet it with my brush. I literally dropped 3 drops of Pink Liquid Watercolor and let it spread. Before it was totally dry, I took a flat brush and dragged it along the edge to form a light rectangle. After completely drying, I took the words from the same Cherubs set I used above, and stamped them in Intense Black ink. I used the heart from Love Little Heart and attached a small brass charm from my stash, after I stamped and cut it out in Strawberry.
My motto - let no heart go untouched.
Thanks for stopping by!
