Thank You With Flourishes Woodblock Stamp

Today's feature is the Thank You With Flourishes Woodblock Stamp which features an elegant and heartfelt sentiment. We’ve always had a soft spot for our classic woodblock stamps, and this one delivers the crisp, clean impressions they’re known for. With its graceful flourished lettering, this stamp makes a striking focal point on any card front.

Whether heat embossed for added drama or simply stamped in bold ink, it pairs effortlessly with textured or patterned backgrounds. In the cards below, Kelly kept things monochromatic to let the design shine — proof that a simple “thank you” can make a big impact.

Sometimes it's just as easy to make multiple cards at once and that was the case with these three cards. To begin, Kelly picked out three monochromatic color combinations using Spellbinders ColorWheel Cardstock.

The cardstock colors used are:

Mulberry
Orchid
Dahlia
Wild Berry
Teal Topaz
Waterfall

To begin, trim a 4" x 2.75" piece of Orchid, Wild Berry and Teal Topaz. Stamp the Thank You image on each of these panels with Unicorn Pigment Ink and heat emboss with White Detail Embossing Powder. There is nothing quite like the crisp impression of a woodblock stamp! ❤️

How To Create an Embossed Background with Dies

Next, Kelly created a striking textured background using the Spring Floral Cover Plate Die. It adds just enough interest without distracting from the sentiment focal point.

Here's how to create the background:

Secure the Cover Plate Die to a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of colored cardstock. The colors used for these cards are Mulberry, Dahlia and Waterfall.
Run it through your die cutting machine using the sandwich for "embossing". For the Spellbinders Platinum 6 that sandwich is: Platform Base - Platform Top - Cut Paper & Cutting Die (cut side up) - Embossing Mat - Adapter Plate.
Once you remove the embossed panel from the machine, leave the die in place. Add ink with an Ink Blending Brush over the top of the die. This will add ink to the raised areas of the pattern. You can either add Unicorn White Pigment Ink, like on the pink card, or a coordinating ink color, like on the teal and purple cards.
Remove the die and trim down your panel to 4" x 5.25", so it mounts nicely onto an A2-sized card base.

Pop up your message with some foam adhesive and this striking set of monochromatic thank you's are complete!

Gold & Silver Embossed Messages

Here are a two more examples that highlight how stunning this sentiment looks when heat embossed in silver or gold. Paired with soft stenciled or ink-blended backgrounds, the elegant design truly takes center stage—letting the heartfelt message shine.
