There are two things I love and go to often when I design cards. The first is geometric designs - I'm drawn to them probably because my dad was a math professor, and we spent a lot of time on geometric shapes and their mathematics.
The second is the combo of yellow and grey! I was THRILLED when Pantone chose these for 2021 - and while there's always an outcry of some sort about the colors - this is such a beautiful combo, and I'll defend the value of grey in art forever! Especially if the grey is cool, it's nearly a perfect complementary color scheme. It just makes my eyes happy!
When I got the Hexagon Infinity Dies, the first thing I did is cut them with a ton of different colors of cardstock, leaving all the dies taped together. I do this with all my Infinity Dies, and then just put the nesting die cuts into my die packaging so they are ready to use! So to make today's card, I pulled out my Pantone-inspired die cuts and got to work.
I started with a white card panel that I cut with the Peek-a-Boo Honeycomb Fancy Die for both a dimensional and patterned, interesting background. Then I arranged the die cuts on it, snapped a photo with my phone to remember the layout and then started gluing them down. I added the dark grey hexagon last, and I snipped it to make the sentiment stand out more before gluing them both down.
The sentiment is from the Greetings From Stamp & Cut set - I just die cut it with black cardstock. Three dies make this SUCH a quick and easy CAS card!

I love grey colors for art and clothes. It adds class to an outfit.
Sadly, I looked like I was buried for a month when I wear grey, but I still love the color. I keep hoping when my hair turns gray, I will be able to wear it. lol
Stunning card Lydia. I love the new Phantom colours the are great but haven’t used them yet. Just because there was no good occasion yet to use them on a card.
