Good morning! Jess here with a fun sparkly card featuring some add-on items from the new May My Monthly Hero release. I wish you could see the shimmer of this card in person!

To start I placed the Starlight Rays stencil over a panel of Pitch Black cardstock and used washi tape to temporarily tape it in place. Then I spread a thin layer of Hero Glitter Paste over the stencil using a Palette Knife.  The Glitter Paste is sparkly and clear but when applied over Pitch Black cardstock it has the most gorgeous purple-blue sheen! I removed the stencil, washed it immediately, and then set the panel aside to dry completely.

While the panel was drying I stamped the images from the You're Dynamite bundle onto Dove White cardstock with Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink and heat-embossed it with Detail Black embossing powder. Then I colored the images using Copic markers and die-cut them with the coordinating dies from the You're Dynamite bundle.

Once my stenciled panel was dry I adhered the images with a mix of ATG adhesive and foam mounting tape for a little extra dimension. I added a few accents with a white gel pen and then added Sparkle Clear Lacquer over the hearts and stars. This card practically glows when it catches the light and, of course, you can never have enough sparkle! ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Fun card, Jess! It turned out fantastic. I would never have guessed the Glitter Paste would look so amazing on black cardstock, or that it would turn out to be such a pretty color when paired up with a black base — thanks for the idea! I promised myself I would not buy new stencil pastes or butters until I use up the current bunch I have hanging around, because I wayyyyy overbought in the mixed media department in the last few months — but I am really looking forward to trying the Glitter Paste in the future when I get back into shopping mode.
