Video: A Sweet Color Layering Cupcake Tutorial
Hey everyone. It's Dana here with you today sharing a tutorial using the Color Layering Cupcake and coordinating Frame Cuts. This stamp set pairs perfectly with the Streamer stencil. A full card of birthday happiness.
(If you are having trouble viewing this video, please try watching it HERE on YouTube.)
To create this card I stamped out three of the cupcake in a variety of colors on Dove White Cardstock using several of Hero Arts inks. For the cupcakes I used Soft Vanilla, Butter Bar, Fresh Peach, Pale Tomato, Soft Pool, Pool and Soft Brown Inks. And of course we need chocolate sprinkles so I used the Cup O'Joe ink for those. This is a slightly muted color palette and I love the color combination.
The background of the card was made using the Streamer Stencil and Sand Cardstock. Having a neutral background was perfect so it did not compete with my colorful cupcakes.
I stamped the sentiment in Cup O' Joe ink to have a brown sentiment instead of a black one. Lining up my cupcakes with the middle one on foam dots allows for a little bit of dimension. The card size is 5x7 inches and the card base is made from Dove White Cardstock. This was such a fun and easy way to create a birthday card. Thanks for stopping by today. We will see you back here soon.
