Hearts for Sally!
Oh dear me… I was assigned to work with heart stamps… my true LOVE. Of course ideas flooded my mind so I created three quick cards today! I was inspired by a recent trip to Japan, where design is minimal and simple. No wonder I loved every single minute!
I'll start with the letter of love card. I stamped a piece of paper in Red Royal ink using the Love is Love Bold Prints background, then die cut it with the Love Note Pair Fancy Dies to create a mini envelope. Next, I stamped several little woodblock messages (Love You Message, XOXO, With Love Message, Hugs and Kisses) on various colors of carstock, then die cut them with the Nesting Hearts Infinity Dies. I love how the messages are shaped perfectly to fit inside a heart! I finished the card with a little heart seal and Valentine's message from the Love Stamp & Cut set.
The little envelope is overflowing with love!
For the next card, I stamped the Love Little Heart woodblock stamp onto another background created with the Love is Love Bold Prints. I used some of my treasures from Japan on this card. Washi tape and paper was everywhere there! I was in heaven. I mounted my stamped piece onto gold paper, and then washi paper, and then again on gold, then mounted in all onto a small white card. Add the little tab from the Love Stamp & Cut, lining up the word love on a cling stamped scrap.
Lastly the tag, which was made from die cutting the small heart with scraps of washi. It is easier to work with them when mounted onto a second layer of card stock. Add xoxo in black and randomly mount the hearts with foam tape.
I hope you have a day filled with extra love!
Great Valentine cards. I’m inspired!!!!!
Always love your creations, Sally, but especially these heart projects!! Wonderful colors & patterns!!
LOVEly Sally, especially the card with the mini envelope and all the gorgeous hearts coming out. When I saw it it did remind me of the heartshaped candy with lovely word on it. Thank you so much for sharing all this love.
Delightful cards, Sally. Like the clean, fresh look of them—no frills, no fuss, just love. tfs
Darling cards Sally!! You’ve inspired me to use ‘heart’ more!! :)
