Happy Anniversary
One of the Bold Prints that immediately caught my eye in the 2016 Winter Catalog is the Rings Bold Print. The design reminds me of wedding rings and bubbly champagne, so I decided to use it as a background on an anniversary card.
I stamped and gold heat embossed the Rings Bold Print onto some watercolor paper. Then I applied a light wash of a pinky-peach color all over, which reminded me of a glass of bubbly champagne.
For the message, I die cut a “40” using the Classic Numbers Frame Cuts. Then I applied VersaMark ink and multiple layers of gold embossing power to the numbers to create a thick and smooth number embellishment for the card.
The small images that make up the rest of the message are from the Congrats Stamp + Cut and Happy Stamp + Cut. I even trimmed a “th” off of one of the messages to finish out the 40th sentiment. It’s amazing the messages you can create by combining multiple sets!
To help the message stand out a bit more, I adhered a strip of vellum behind it, which mutes the background and allows the message to be easily read.
Thanks for stopping by today!
